History

The Start of it all...

The VV Soliven Group of Companies first started with the name V.V. Soliven Realty and Associates (VVSRA). Young realtors Victorio and Purita Soliven established it in 1965. The enterprise initially sold subdivisions owned by reputable developers and landowners. The first year proved to be successful so the office along Washington Street in Sampaloc, Manila soon expanded with branches in Grace Park, España Extension, Aurora and Shaw Boulevard. In 1968 they incorporated the V.V. Soliven Realty and Associates now called the V.V. Soliven Realty Corporation. They moved to their new and larger office along Timog Avenue, Quezon City. From just selling exclusive subdivisions, they branched out into construction of houses and development of subdivisions. They formed Solid Builders Inc. (SBI) to take care of the vertical construction like houses, buildings and shopping centers. They also formed Speed Construction and Development Corporation to do the horizontal construction.

In the 1970s, these companies engaged in the operation of housing projects in Capitol Park Homes, Diamond Hills, Quezon City Green heights, Antipolo Green heights, South Green heights (55 hectares) and Parañaque Green heights (45 hectares). While Speed Construction developed the subdivisions, SBI build the houses and the VVSRC handled the marketing and the exclusive selling of these projects.

Continued growth through the years...

When Martial Law was imposed in 1972, a new economic order was implemented in the country. Notable within that year was the expansion of housing facilities. This was due to the pressing demand from the middle class. Solid Builders, Inc. (SBI) was then formed in 1973 to meet the need for mass housing construction. Within that same year, Pasig Green Park Village (180 hectares) was opened, then Marikina Green heights (45 hectares) and Green heights Newtown (35 hectares). Two more sister companies were organized in 1975.Solid Rock Aggregates undertook the large volume requirements of the mother company for construction materials. The other one is Agricultural Development Corporation. It converted idle raw land into productive agricultural ventures. With the concerted effort of the companies, the V. V. Soliven Shopping Complex was started in 1976. By December 1978, the offices of the Group of Companies merged less than one roof at the V. V. Soliven Shopping Complex blessed by no less than Jaime Cardinal Sin.

An achievement for the V. V. Soliven Group of Companies was being voted in the 1978 edition of the Top Corporations in the Philippines wherein V. V. Soliven Realty Corp., placed number 2 in Real Estate Industry. In 1980, a greater emphasis on mass housing was programmed by the Marcos administration with the onset of Pag-ibig Housing Loan Program. The group of companies met the challenge of the 80’s with commitment as it took part in the development and promotion of Pag-ibig Housing. In 1988, it opened Capitol Park Homes ll in Novaliches, Quezon City. From a mere four (4) hectares, the project today has grown to a total of 35 hectares with over 1,000 housing units.

The housing projects of the V.V. Soliven Group of Companies, ranged from low cost housing to high end housing represented by its crowning glory the millionaire's row, called the Loyola Grand Villas, which is a total of 120 hectares located at the back of Ateneo University and bounded by La Vista, Balara and Ayala Heights, on the western side and Northern side. Marikina Valley on the eastern side and the Ateneo University on the Southern side, thus giving it a natural exclusivity, quiet atmosphere, fresh air and grandiose view that sums up the charisma that is called Loyola Grand Villas.

In its 5 year strategic planning goals and objectives, the V. V. Soliven Group of Companies will expand into the global market by marketing resort subdivisions and retirement villages along the seaside of white sand, crystal clear waters and on famous beaches in El Nido, Taytay Palawan which is renowned worldwide.

With decades of glorious existence, V.V. Soliven has earned the distinction of building quality houses. The continued commitment of V. V. Soliven to the national effort of providing decent and affordable housing is embodied in its corporate mission: “To contribute to nation building through construction and development of quality shelter, tourism oriented facilities such as world class recreation and entertainment projects, and other real estate business, adapting the corporate values of total commitment, innovations and customer satisfaction.” With its commitment to service and development, the V. V. Soliven Group of Companies has become the real estate builder and developer of choice. With all the efforts of the people behind this group and the leadership of our Realtors Victorio V. Soliven and Purita R. Soliven, there is no doubt that we can make it to the place where we should be; where else but at the TOP.
